Women's Health (UCLA Center for Health Policy Reearch)
http://www.healthpolicy.ucla.edu/womens_health.html
"In the past decade, changes in public policies and the structure of the health care system have had a disproportionate effect on women's health insurance coverage and access. As well, disparities in health care access and health status among women by income, racial, and ethnic background as well as other factors, have persisted. The Center's work in women's health focuses on these general policy issues examining health insurance coverage, access to care, and health status of women. Several Center studies have examined the health care system and other factors that promote or impede women's access to health insurance and access to health services, such as breast and cervical cancer screening, routine health care, and chronic disease care. Other studies purposely look at health care issues faced by a specific group of women, such as limited-English proficient women, single mothers, or low-income women. The focal point of the Center's research in women's health is on providing timely information to inform policy and programmatic decisions."
